About Me

What inspires me most is the amazing beauty of nature that surrounds me. Nature’s beautiful color, lines, shapes, textures, and even values are there for me as an artist to see and be inspired. I enjoy painting watercolors of birds from our backyard in a simple, ethereal style. I also enjoy painting portraits of people and architecture.
 

My media consist of watercolor, oil and an occasional acrylic.
 

I love the transparency of watercolor; it best conveys my inner most of my inspiration. I let the watercolor do what it does best.
 

I like the calming effect of oil painting; the buttery consistency of the medium flows through the entire painting process.
